Sera Of London's Flat In Little Venice

I blogged Sera of London's luscious interiors in the past here and here. I have been waiting for a glimpse of a new space ever since. And here it is. HERE IT IS. From what I gather is the designer, Sera Hersham Loftus's own flat in Little Venice, London. In my imagination this is what Heaven looks like. Enjoy...

Seriously lush right!?

New Digs

Well it's official! We are now homeowners. While I am INSANELY excited to have my own space to unleash my wildest design dreams in, I'm equally bogged down by the time consuming tasks that come with buying a "fixer-upper". The first month plus has been a whole lot of cleaning, painting, raking, replacing light switch plates and door stops and doorknobs and blah, blah, blah. It ain't easy doing these types of things with a 2 year old in tow either, but it's happening. Slowly but surely. We still have a mountain of those projects to complete but are also in the beginning stages of {finally} making design choices.
The master bedroom is starting to feel like home, and the guest room has a vision...which involves busting out my rug hoard. The fun is definitely getting started around here and we already hosted a couple little gatherings. Which felt SO GOOD since I've been itching to entertain. It also turns out my neighborhood is a fireworks mecca, hilariously so. So we've got that going for us.

I guess I better fill ya'll in on the deets of the new crib. It's a late 1970's ranch style house, open concept living area with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. It's about 1700 square feet, which feels like a palace after living in half that for the last 3 years. It has some of the original 70's charm left and has been blandly renovated in other areas. So adding character where it's been wiped out is in order. The yard is a decent size although maybe not big enough for me to have chickens. I might smuggle them in anyway, I'm not sure yet ;)

So, yep, that's the story. Now that we're on the other side of the holiday rush and initial home buying frenzy, I should be hanging out here on the blog more often with ya'll. See ya soon.
