Boho Bathroom Oasis

I'm getting back into the swing of things finally. After months of feeling crumby with an incognito wisdom tooth infection, I am nearly healed and feeling like myself again. And in order to continue to exhaust myself (as is my custom) my husband and I have decided to hop right into house hunting for real. It's been our dream to own our own pad for a long time, but the moment never really seemed right until now.
I, of course, want a magical, whimsical bohemian home with loads of historical character...Alas that doesn't really exist in Houston, at least not within our first time home buyers budget. So we will have to use our imagination and add character to a home ourselves. Which I am totally okay with. I love home improvement and design related projects and can't wait to get my hands on a place we can make our own.
Naturally I'm spending my evenings obsessively searching for inspiring ideas for injecting some character into our potential new space. While looking for some bathroom reno ideas, I discovered this delicious gem of a bath. I'm blown away at how the designers took a very boring, run of the mill bathroom and created an absolute boho oasis that is oozing character.

I don't know what I love most. The vanity with the open shelving on the bottom really opens the space and that marble gives it such a classic and timeless touch. The pattern on the wallpaper appeals both to my love of vintage and global influences. The brass fixtures, glass shelving, rug and color palate all make for an opulent room that I would never want to leave. All of the ideas are very do-able in a real bathroom too. Which I adore. Although, I'm not too sure how convenient those tropical plants would be while actually showering, I would find a way to co-exist in there, just to keep the jungle shower vibes goin' on. This ones going in the official new home inspo book.

Here's to hoping we find something soon, so I can put these ideas to use! I'll keep you posted on any progress.

    1. Me too! My husband and I lived in a house for a short time that had this perfect window in the shower...so we filled it with plants and fought about who would get to have a "jungle shower" when the sun was shining in just right! My ultimate goal is to re-create that situation! xoxo
